Summary
The paper analyzes the concept of Macedonian security strategy and its correlation to the security strategy of the region. Besides that, the paper focuses on the national security keys, security policy objectives, international security environment as well as risks threatening the security of the country and the region. Eventually, the paper makes the necessary recommendations for the draft of the regional security strategy.
This paper was presented and the regional conference "Drafting the First Regional Security Strategy" held in October 2006 in Bucharest. The conclusions and recommendations from the conference will be presented at the NATO summit in Riga in November 2006. |
